Gordy has been hanging out at the F3J World Championships up in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada (and apparently showing the Norwegians how to eat ribs!). Check out the F3J Worlds Diary, and note our man mowing down some ribs with the friendly 'wegians.

F3J seems terribly popular in Europe, with there being teams in Norway, Denmark,Czech Republic, and Germany to name a few. I'm not terribly familiar with it, except to know that it's all hand-towed instead of winches or high starts. Pretty neat stuff. Doing some "Googling", I found the Torrey Pines Gulls site has a great Introduction to F3J Hand Towing (written by Mike Lachowski). Recommended reading for those of you scratching your heads out there.
